Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt; stir until combined. Chill dough in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Divide chilled dough into three portions; color two portions red and blue using food coloring, leaving one plain.
- Roll small amounts of each colored dough together to form balls, then coat in powdered sugar.
- Place on prepared baking sheets; bake for 12-14 minutes or until tops are crackly but still soft in the center.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
