  • 2 cups thinly sliced cabbage

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp regular soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetarian stir fry sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock (or cold water)
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauces, vegetarian stir fry sauce, sesame oil, garlic, chicken stock, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Bring a large pan of water to boil over medium-high heat. Blanch the chow mein noodles for 20-30 seconds until loosened.
  3. Drain the noodles in a colander; do not rinse.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in the large pan over medium heat. Sauté onions, cabbage, and celery for about 1 minute until softened.
  5. Push veggies to one side of the pan; add remaining oil and then the noodles along with the prepared sauce.
  6. Toss everything together until well coated and heated through before serving.
