  • 1 demi baguette
  • ½ cup basil pesto
  • Gel food coloring (black)
  • 12 ounces cherry tomatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Fresh basil
  • Balsamic vinegar glaze for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare mozzarella skulls by filling a silicone mold with mozzarella pearls and baking for 6-7 minutes. Press into molds and cool.
  2. Increase oven temperature to 475°F. Cut cherry tomatoes in half, place cut side down on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, season, and roast for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Slice the baguette into ½-inch pieces and toast on another baking sheet for about 8-10 minutes until golden.
  4. Mix basil pesto with black gel food coloring to reach desired color.
  5. Assemble bruschetta by spreading black pesto on toasted bread, adding roasted tomatoes and mozzarella skulls on top, then bake again for 8-10 minutes.
