  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 4 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 28 oz can fire-roasted crushed tomatoes
  • 15 oz can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 15 oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 15 oz can pinto beans, rinsed and drained

  • chili powder
  • ground cumin
  • dried oregano
  • salt
  • black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sauté onions and garlic for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook until browned (5-7 minutes).
  3. Stir in brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, pepper, and tomato paste.
  4. Add beef broth, fire-roasted tomatoes, and all beans; stir well.
  5. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
