  • 1/4 cup finely chopped jalapeño pepper
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 5 cups white sugar
  • 1 1/2 packages SURE-JELL powder pectin

Instructions

  1. Begin by sterilizing six 8-ounce canning jars and lids according to the manufacturer's instructions. Heat water in a hot water canner.
  2. In a large saucepan over high heat, combine red bell peppers, green bell peppers, jalapeño peppers, apple cider vinegar, and SURE-JELL pectin. Bring to a rolling boil while stirring constantly.
  3. Stir in sugar quickly and return to a rolling boil for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and skim off any foam.
  4. Ladle jelly into prepared jars, filling each to within 1/4 inch of the top. Seal with lids and bands tightly.
  5. Process jars in the canner for five minutes once boiling.
  6. Cool completely before serving.
