  • 850g diced apples
  • 190g unsalted butter (for filling)
  • Brown sugar and cinnamon (for flavor)
  • Cream cheese (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine lukewarm milk and sugar; stir in yeast and allow to bubble.
  2. Mix eggs and salt in another bowl; add to yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour until dough forms; knead in softened butter until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with a cloth until doubled (about 1 hour).
  5. Prepare apple filling by cooking diced apples with butter, sugar, cinnamon, and corn starch until softened.
  6. Mix brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and salt for the filling.
  7. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread cinnamon filling then apple filling on top.
  8. Roll tightly and cut into pieces; place on a lined baking sheet.
  9. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. For frosting, beat together room temperature cream cheese and butter, adding powdered sugar gradually.
