Instructions

  1. Prepare your boiling water bath and gather 5 pint jars. Simmer the lids in a small saucepan.
  2. Wash and trim the green beans to fit inside the jars.
  3. In a large saucepan, combine vinegar, water, and pickling salt; bring to a boil.
  4. Pack the trimmed green beans into each jar with garlic, dill seeds, and red chile flakes.
  5. Pour hot brine over the beans, leaving about 1/2 inch headspace. Remove air bubbles with a chopstick.
