Ingredients

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1.74 oz Sure Jell fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. Clean jelly jars thoroughly and remove stems from the strawberries.
  2. Crush the strawberries until desired consistency is reached and measure exactly two cups in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in 4 cups of sugar and let sit for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. In a saucepan, combine pectin with 3/4 cup water, bring to a boil while stirring constantly for one minute.
  5. Add the boiling pectin mixture to the strawberry-sugar mix and stir for about 3 minutes until thickened.
  6. Fill jelly jars with the mixture, leaving 1/2 inch of space at the top. Cover and let set at room temperature for 24 hours before freezing.
