- 4 cups sugar
- 1.74 oz Sure Jell fruit pectin
Instructions
- Clean jelly jars thoroughly and remove stems from the strawberries.
- Crush the strawberries until desired consistency is reached and measure exactly two cups in a large bowl.
- Stir in 4 cups of sugar and let sit for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In a saucepan, combine pectin with 3/4 cup water, bring to a boil while stirring constantly for one minute.
- Add the boiling pectin mixture to the strawberry-sugar mix and stir for about 3 minutes until thickened.
- Fill jelly jars with the mixture, leaving 1/2 inch of space at the top. Cover and let set at room temperature for 24 hours before freezing.
