- 500g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 3 cups cooked white rice
Instructions
- Toss the chicken pieces with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil in a bowl.
- Heat your wok or large pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Once done, set aside on a plate.
- In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and sliced bell peppers. Stir-fry these veggies for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender yet crisp.
- Return the cooked chicken to the pan with the vegetables. Pour in your prepared sauce ingredients (soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, honey) over the mixture. Stir everything together until well-coated and glossy.
